The first international and interdisciplinary research centre in operative intelligence, made up of bodies and organisations from the United States, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, England and Italy and named “UNIT OIR”, was presented at the Senate of the Republic together with its respective representations. UNIT OIR received the best wishes for its success from the Director General of the Department of Information for Security, Prefect Vecchione, and from Gen. Carta, Director of AISE. This is the first time in the world that it has been possible to create, synergically and at international level, a research centre for operative intelligence bringing together the collaboration of various organisations in order to find solutions and innovations for the protection of democracies and of States, and to whose foundation Ecole Universitaire Internationale actively contributed. The direction of the Centre for the first five years has been entrusted to Italy, in the person of Prof. Sabrina Magris, president of Ecole Universitaire Internationale.
