École Universitaire Internationale wants this site to be usable by anyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, with a magnifier or with a screen reader. The reference is WCAG 2.2, level AA.
Compliance status
Partial compliance. The checks carried out so far are automated and instrumental; a test with a screen reader run by a person is still missing, and that is the reason why this statement does not speak of full compliance.
What has been checked
- The contrast between text and background on every coloured ground is recalculated at every change to the code and must never fall below 4.5:1.
- Every page can be worked through with the keyboard, with a link at the start that skips straight to the content.
- The pages have a correctly nested structure of headings, and the regions of the page are declared.
- No content moves, rotates or refreshes by itself; anyone who has asked their operating system for less motion is given less motion.
- The images have alternative text written by looking at them one by one.
- The site works without JavaScript for everything needed to read and to search.
Known limitations
- The alternative texts of the images imported from the previous site are under editorial review.
- Some images in the press review are newspaper clippings, that is, text inside a photograph: the alternative text says what it is about, not the whole article.
- Accessibility is not guaranteed in the PDF documents published, because they come from third parties.
Reporting a problem
If a page cannot be used, you can report it from the contacts page, giving the address of the page and what did not work. Reports are useful: they are the most reliable way of finding the barriers that an automated check does not see.
