This page describes the cookies that this site uses. It was written by looking at how the site really works, not from a generic template.
Profiling cookies: none
The site uses no profiling cookies, collects no browsing statistics and loads no third-party analytics tools. No data about the people who visit is sent to outside providers.
For the same reason no consent banner appears: consent is needed for non-essential cookies, and there are none here.
The only technical cookie
Anyone who signs in to the editorial staff’s restricted area receives a session cookie called eui_sessione. It serves to keep the session open after sign-in and contains no personal data: only a random value that the server knows how to recognise. It lasts eight hours, cannot be read by the scripts on the page, travels only over an encrypted connection and is not sent when the request comes from another site.
Anyone who only reads the public site receives no cookie at all.
Content from other sites
Videos are not embedded in the pages: in their place there is a link that opens the video on the site it comes from. An embedded video would send that service the address of the page and the reader’s cookies before anyone had even decided to watch it.
How to control cookies
Every browser makes it possible to see, block and delete cookies from its own settings. Blocking the session cookie prevents access to the restricted area, but changes nothing about reading the site.
