CEPOL course “Cross-border Drug Investigations” organised by École Universitaire Internationale as an academic partner and training partner of the European Agency for the training of police forces and law enforcement authorities [CEPOL – The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training].
The international training activity promoted, created and run by École
Universitaire Internationale -and held in the City of Castelfranco Veneto- was attended by 21 international Delegations, for a total of 40 officials and officers
from the law enforcement agencies of the European Union Member States and partner States.
The course was officially attended by EUROPOL, EUROJUST, FRONTEX and EMPACT, as well as by professionals and experts from the Italian law enforcement agencies such as DIA, Guardia di Finanza and Polizia di Stato, and from the law enforcement and Intelligence services of Spain and France.

The course examined the phenomenon of cross-border drug trafficking, including precursors and the dismantling of organised crime groups, through an understanding of new forms of modi operandi and of the drug supply chain, with a particular focus on:
- New technologies and their use in support of investigative activities and information gathering;
- Methods and techniques for undercover activities (undercover), with particular reference to increasing the cognitive capacities of the operator and to overcoming the bias that affect the investigation and the ability to gather information;
- Criminal, investigative and Intelligence analysis, in order to understand every multi-faceted aspect of the phenomenon and the connections between them;
