Hostage Negotiation School – Level 2
The Level 2 programme examines negotiation techniques in greater depth, in particular for complex crisis situations involving the taking of hostages, with national and international impact, geopolitical repercussions and consequences for National Security in cases of kidnapping; particular attention is also devoted to hostage negotiation in the field of terrorism and Intelligence. A section is likewise devoted specifically to negotiations conducted with negotiators from European and US Police Forces.
This is the only Hostage Negotiation School in Italy and one of the few in Europe. École Universitaire Internationale is the training institute that obtained the highest score in Europe for the training of negotiators of the Police Forces and Intelligence. Read more
The programme of studies will examine in depth the new internationally recognised negotiation method and the new techniques that have been developed; the new method is based on a neuroscientific approach and includes all the innovative techniques concerning human behaviour and the modification of human behaviour, in particular in crisis and high-risk situations, and the working of the human brain.
New negotiation techniques and unconventional methods will be taught, to be used alongside the internationally recognised rules of hostage negotiation. It is also particularly suitable for individuals, organisations or public or private companies that may be at risk of kidnapping, examining in depth the aspects of risk-analysis and risk-assessment.
The programme of studies is addressed to civilian personnel, to civilian and military personnel already in service within the Public Administration (Law Enforcement, Armed Forces, etc...), to experts, and to university students, graduates and researchers who wish to deepen their studies in the field and/or wish to take up work in the field.
